The folks over at inTacto made a greeting card in 2012 using Responsive Web Design in a way that most people wouldn’t have thought to use it. Through the technique of image swapping and positioning using CSS Media Queries, they were able to bring an almost storybook-like experience to the web.

JAM with Chrome is a collaborative live music experience in your browser, that makes use of several web technologies and Google products, to allow you and up to three of your friends to jam together in real time.
We’ve combined these technologies to bring you the complete JAM with Chrome experience. When you play the instruments, your browser will tell other users browsers which notes to play, how to play them, and how to animate the user interface.

3D transforms are awesome, but they’re even cooler with lighting effects! The specular highlights are created with CSS gradients and masks. The cast shadow relies on box shadows and transforms.
